The "Voice of the Rebels" David Kellum has served 18 seasons as the Ole Miss Radio Network’s play-by-play announcer for football and men's basketball and 29 years with the Rebel baseball team. An Oxford, Miss., native, Kellum also serves as host of the radio call-in show and TV coach's show for both football and men's basketball.
In 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004, Kellum was honored as the Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year, as voted on by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association members in the state, and he received the "Lindsey Nelson Outstanding Sportscaster" award from the All-American Football Foundation in 2006.

Prior to taking over the duties for the football and men’s basketball broadcasts, Kellum served as the play-by-play announcer for the Ole Miss women’s basketball program for nine years. His first link with Ole Miss athletics was in 1978. As a 19-year-old freshman, he began broadcasting Rebel baseball and has remained in that role ever since.
Kellum is a 1980 graduate of Ole Miss with a degree in Radio and Television and has long been actively involved in Ole Miss sports. He also served as the public address announcer for men’s basketball home games and did the play-by-play for the tape-delay telecasts of Ole Miss football on cable television. He also gained valuable experience while serving as the play-by-play announcer for Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Kellum is married to the former Mary Evelyn Kuehn of Oxford. They have two daughters, Stefanie Marie and Staci Michelle.
